Creative Director

For 17 years, I’ve been building and leading cross-functional teams, to help organisations get value through design—by solving problems of all shapes and sizes, across all types of project. 


I’m motivated by a combination of three things: a passion for craft; a fascination with problem-solving; and, a belief in the potential to meet people’s needs through good design.  I have broad collective comprehensive, experience and expertise in the physical world and the digital world, I’m good at unifying them.

Expertise in creative thinking, creative direction, graphic design, interior design and brand-relevant content-creation across all platforms, strategic brand creation and brand development.

I am versatile, delivery-focused and can be hands-on, with the ability to create, plan and run complex projects and teams, liaise and report at all levels, within a team or individually to produce innovative and high-quality creative projects.

I’m based in Hong Kong as Creative Director at Clockenflap – Asia’s Music & Arts Festival with an audience reach of 2.7 million people, 70,000 people attending the festival also for Sónar – Hong Kong, Sónar from Barcelona (with a 25 year history) is a catalyst for music, creativity, technology and business.

Specialties:
Managing and putting teams together, brand strategy/design, channelling content, using design through various mediums: be it for TV, Web, phone or any other platforms, products and touch points.

Interests:
I am highly motivated and interested in product and its connectedness – the physical product and its connection with digital. Previously a product was considered to be the end point of a consumer/user experience. Now it’s the starting point. With an estimation of 25 billion connected ‘things’ by 2020. This connected eco-system has already started to have a massive and positive impact on our lives, from health and sports to music.

Picture also taking home a Lovie award in 2013 for BBC’s Digital Glastonbury.

For 6 years I sat on the judging panel for the Rushes Soho Shorts Film Festival, and participate in various round the table discussions on digital design.
