Herman Miller – Brand Director APAC & MEA
I’m based in Hong Kong and my current role is at Herman Miller.
My role as Brand Director for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa is Omni channel focused and cuts across all channels from Contract to Retail. I run a small team and collaborate on all aspects of the business.
I recently led the Marketing and Creative efforts for the Global launch of a new vertical market – Herman Miller: Gaming. We collaborated with LogitechG on product development and launched with global influencer strategies, 12 ecommerce sites, 17 retail outlets in North America, China, Japan and Korea. I’m currently developing expansion strategies.
I was based in Shanghai and worked at BBH – as Head of Design Experience. There I ran a small design team called Blacksheep, the projects were more design centered and varied. I crossed over to more traditional advertising type work regularly. I’ve had the good fortune to work with some great people on great projects.
For 15 years, I’ve been building and leading cross-functional teams, to help organisations get value through design—by solving problems of all shapes and sizes, across all types of project. And there have been a few awards along the way.
I’m motivated by a combination of three things: a passion for craft; a fascination with problem-solving; and, a belief in the potential to meet people’s needs through good design.
I have a diverse background in design, and comprehensive experience in designing for the physical, brand and digital worlds – I’m good at unifying them.
I have expertise in creative thinking, creative direction, strategic planning, graphic design, interior design and brand-relevant content-creation across all platforms, strategic brand creation and brand development.
I am versatile, delivery-focused and can be hands-on, with the ability to create, plan and run complex projects and teams, liaise and report at all levels, within a team or individually to produce innovative and high-quality creative projects.

I am highly motivated and interested in product and its connectedness – the physical product and its connection with digital. Previously a product was considered to be the end point of a consumer/user experience. Now it’s the starting point. With an estimation of 25 billion connected ‘things’ by 2020. This connected eco-system has already started to have a massive and positive impact on our lives, from health and sports to music.
