You might remember Alexandre Farto aka Vhils his impressive Scratching the Surface wall pieces. The band Orelha Negra asked him to direct the music video for M.I.R.I.A.M. I’m not sure if his other pieces are also made with pyrotechnics but the ones in the video look spectacular.

Emilio Gomariz made a font by just arranging 114 Photoshop files. Each letter is composed by different files, from 1 file for I till 9 files for X. OS X has this feature where it remembers the position of window after minimizing and bringing it back to the front. Emilio used this to make this video of the 114.psd Type. Brilliant!

What a wonderful set of simple music themed posters..
Each designer was asked to represent a musical genre using one element and one typeface (stating the genre). Strictly limited A1 posters Screen–printed on French–Paper Pop-Tone Sweet tooth stock or black French–Paper Pop–Tone black licorice stock.

Which ones are you? It’s a little tricky deciding which ones to get to be honest..

A brilliant collection of packaging redesigns by Antrepo — they’re done as an exercise to illustrate the idea of reducing the design of the labelling to its simplest form, while also showing an intermediary step of a ‘partially simplified’ design. It’s interesting the effect it has on the different products. Some gain a sense of being a premium, high-value product, while others start to resemble economy, basic versions.
