The credit crunch has taken it’s toil in the USA, in much the same vain as Detroit. Fresno, the California Dream has come under the same financial dilemas. Owning a house, a car, a pool. Everyone wanted it and the wonderful world of credit made it all possible. Most of the pools are filled with of them are full of black drain water. Others have become graveyards for old lawn furniture and rodent carcasses. They are shaped like jelly beans and manufactured by companies named Sunny Side and Champagne. But now, with the foreclosure monster running wild, the dream is dry. Thousands of pools are festering in the hot Central Valley sun. For most people this is tragic.

But for some, it’s an opportunity, this is a great bit of filming and short documentary on the after math.

Carl Kleiner is a great and very versatile still life photography from Stockholm. I’ve always had some of his images in my inspiration folder.. but never knew his name. He has a very strong distinctive folio.. I love his daily diary.. makes me think I should do something similar Diary here.

RGB Wallpaper

RGB is a wallpaper collection designed by Carnovsky. Three different patterns are over printed, resulting in deep rich layered imagery. When viewed with either red, green or blue lights it reaveals the one colour and hides the other 2. A great idea for clubs, bars and experiencial design. A CMYK version would be great to do too.

Chatroulette Piano Improv

For those of you who are not well informed in the culture of Chatroulette.. be warned and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

For those of you who are you know that it’s a brand-ish (Nov 2009) new service for one-on-one text-, webcam- and microphone. You can basically chat with randoms and click through to the next person if you aren’t impressed. Normally along the way you come across hairy vigilantes dressed up in ladies underwear or people pressing their knobs against the webcam.

That’s about it really…. oh yes. The site receives about 500,000 visitors per day and there are about 35,000 people on Chatroulette at any given time. Also it was developed by Created by Andrey Ternovskiy, a 17-year-old high school student in Moscow.

What’s more… I love the creativity that is coming out of it… a perfect vehicle for comedy I reckon. I love this capture..BRILLIANT!

A great all round meticulous designer, maker, thinker with a great eye for detail, colour and humour.
