A wonderful short film with very striking imagery.
There is a great children’s skating programme being run in Kabul for boys and girls.. It gives them a childhood, confidence, social interaction and hope.

Something that designers/artists and many others for that matter; find themselves in a position in. Especially in hard economic times. Someone in the same industry, invariably will do it for less or for free. This devalues what it is that we do. Well fear not!! A great short documentary that explores people who are influencers.
Agents of change are far and few, it looks at who, how and how brands can embrace change.

I saw this a few days ago and it’s insanley beautiful. This Free Fall is a video made by the freedivers Guillaume Néry and Julie Gautier.

You can see Guillaume doing a base jump into Dean’s Blue Hole. They say it’s a fictional and artistic project, they wanted to show another approach to freediving videos. Even Julie, who filmed everything with the amazing Canon 5D Mark II, hold her breath the whole time.

I love this experiment soooooooooo much.
Hi-tech and low-tech all in one, fun engaging and a lovely insight into people’s lives, homes and tastes..

Micheal Wesch is an anthropologist and his constant study of ‘YouTube’ has produced a 55.33 min presentation (presented at the Library of Congress 28th June 2008) and it’s well worth watching.
As an orthographical study of human behavior, we see how we interact with ourselves, friends, strangers and a camera (using computers, technology and a lot of imagination). This film shows you the emotional and touching, experiential side of what YouTube and other social networks has empowered us to do.. its great stuff.
It joins many things for me, connection, cultural values, human behaviour.

He was also responsible Web 2.0 … The Machine is Us/ing Us which at the time of posting had 7,170,506 views.. pretty impressive and also captivating to watch.

Off to Paris Photo tomorrow should be good.
