Bane & Bane 2 - Jan 10th – 29th (except Sun)

Tristan Bates Theatre, London, Covent Garden.

This multi-award winning show features one man, 79 characters and a live guitar.
The shorty follow Bruce Bane (he’s macho, can you tell?) whose business is rather shady and takes place in back alleys and eerie sidewalks.
Bane and Bane 2 are parodies of the hard-boiled detective genre, written and performed by Joe Bone who plays all 79 characters.
On January 12th, Bone will attempt to break the world record for most characters played by one person in a play. The current record stands at 52.

Over the past few days, I have been gradually posting images of my adventures (with some dear friends) to Burning Man on flickr (also enclosed in this post). Pictures and words can not describe how amazing it was.

The image you see above here is a satellite image of the whole dam thing…. just look how amazingly organised it is.. we lived at 9.30 and Detroit. Work it out for your selves.. Lots of Rum, Vodka, Miso soup, beef jerky the Gourd and what not, were consumed.

Surreal, creative, fun, bloody mad, exhausting, inspiring –  are just a few one worders that only scrape the surface.

There was no animosity whatsoever and this was so much better than any English festival experience I could possibly imagine. No rubbish, carnage, mess, just a deep respect for the surroundings.

A huge 200 art installations where dotted around the Playa and mutant vehicles, bikes, dust storms, lots of  laughs etc..
I just want to thank the lovely people that joined me on this amazing adventure, they know who they are….

On the organisational front, I’ll be going again next year for sure. Get in touch if you need some hot tips etc.. I hope you enjoy my photos.

For those of you who are not well informed in the culture of Chatroulette.. be warned and don’t say I didn’t warn you.

For those of you who are you know that it’s a brand-ish (Nov 2009) new service for one-on-one text-, webcam- and microphone. You can basically chat with randoms and click through to the next person if you aren’t impressed. Normally along the way you come across hairy vigilantes dressed up in ladies underwear or people pressing their knobs against the webcam.

That’s about it really…. oh yes. The site receives about 500,000 visitors per day and there are about 35,000 people on Chatroulette at any given time. Also it was developed by Created by Andrey Ternovskiy, a 17-year-old high school student in Moscow.

What’s more… I love the creativity that is coming out of it… a perfect vehicle for comedy I reckon. I love this capture..BRILLIANT!

This is genius…. and I love the scripting.. Old Spice has recently released a series of Manmercials, nonsensically funny 30-second ads for its new body wash, with the following messages:

“We’re not saying this body wash will make your man smell into a romantic millionaire jet fighter pilot, but we are insinuating it.”

“Don’t smell like sunsets and baby powder. Smell like jet fighters and punching.”

“What’s better than seeing a hot girl on a beach? Nothing. Nothing is better. Maybe nachos. A hot girl lying on nachos. But that’s impossible. ”

And by the way, I’m on a horse.

“Life behind the scenes” shows us the wonderful world of Pringle through the eyes of quirky and edgy artist David Shrigley. A wonderful achievement to keep your edginess when producing branded content.
